Nimesh Patel is one of the hottest comedic talents around. His parents, of Indian origin, immigrated to the States in the 1970s. He was born in Morris County, New Jersey, but moved to New York City to pursue his studies, from which he graduated with a degree in finance in 2008, which was a terrible year for anyone working in finance. That and the fact that he fell in love with comedy after visiting the Comedy Cellar in New York City, where he witnessed Dave Chappelle performing in his freshman year, made him decide to take comedy seriously.

He began working by day and doing standup at night at The Stress Factory, where he would sharpen his abilities. He was discovered by Chris Rock in 2015 while doing a show in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and was offered a position on Rock's writing team that was (at that time) working on the 88th Academy Awards ceremony.

His subsequent moves helped propel him into the mainstream. In 2016, he entered Kevin Hart's "Pitch Panel," where he became a finalist. Then, in 2017, he wrote material for Hasan Minhaj's White House Correspondents' Association Dinner Appearance as well as becoming a full time writer for Saturday Night Live. By 2018, he had picked up his first Emmy Award nomination for "Outstanding Writing" on SNL. He has also appeared on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and has opened for big names such as Aziz Ansari and Chris Rock.

He has achieved so much, and there are no signs of him stopping, and now he brings all of that amazing comedy to fans across the nation with his brand new tour.
