Amanda Marshall was born in Toronto, Canada, and is probably best known for her single, Birmingham, which charted in Canada and the United States. Born in 1972, Amanda's career started as a child, where she found her love for performing and singing at school plays and local talent shows.

Her powerful vocals and soulful sound gave her an edge in the business. During one of her performances as a teen on the Queen Street West bar scene, she was discovered by guitarist Jeff Healey. Amazed by her abilities, Jeff took her on a long tour where she would further hone her skills.

Her professional career began as a session singer and songwriter before she signed with Epic Records in 1994. In 1995, she released her self-titled debut album, which quickly became a commercial success with the hit singles “Birmingham” and “Dark Horse,” as well as four others. One of her singles, "This Could Take All Night," was featured in the original soundtrack of Tin Cup, and during the Rosie Show, Elton John named Amanda as one of the artists he was listening to, both of which really helped Amanda's career move up a level.

By 1999, she had released her second album, “Tuesday's Child,” which featured the hit singles "Believe in You" and “Love Lift Me.” 2001 saw the release of her third studio album, “Everybody's Got a Story.” The album saw Marshall move away from a typical style and towards a more mature R&B sound, showing off her growth in songwriting. Since then, she had taken a hiatus from music due to legal battles with her record label, but she is back now with a brand new album, and the fans are super excited about it as not only do they get new music but a tour to support it as well.

To this day, she remains a beloved figure and continues to inspire fans and artists alike. You can expect to be absolutely blown away by her new tour, and it is not something to be missed, so be sure to grab your tickets before they sell out.
