Is there a dress code?

There isn’t a formal dress code, but shoes and shirts are necessary for entry.

Are there any food and beverage facilities?

The Theatre offers a selection of tempting snacks, local craft beers, and hand-picked BC wines.

Can you use camera and recording devices?

No cameras, audio or video recording devices are allowed.

What is the child and baby ticket policy?

Vancouver Civic Theatres requires that all audience members, including children, must have a ticket. There are no exemptions to this policy regardless of the child’s age.

How do I contact Lost & Found?

To inquire about lost and found items, please phone 604-665-2193.

Is there an elevator?

Elevator access is available from the main lobby to the mezzanine level and the balcony. There is also an elevator from parking to the QET and Playhouse Hamilton Street entrances which is open 60 minutes before show times.

Are there accessible washroom facilities?

Wheelchair accessible washrooms are available on the orchestra and mezzanine levels.

Is there hearing assistance?

Hearing-assist units and binoculars are available at the main lobby coat check.

What payment is accepted?

The Theatre accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and debit cards.

When do the doors open?

The lobby is open one hour before performances. Come early and enjoy – visit the visual art gallery on the upper levels of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre lobbies.

Is there a coat check?

The QET has a spacious coat check. Each patron is charged $4.

What happens if I’m late to a performance?

If you are late to a performance, please be aware that you may not be seated until intermission. Video monitors are available in the Theatre lobby to follow the action on stage. To honor the performance’s integrity, the show’s producer will determine 24 hours in advance when latecomers may be seated. In some cases, latecomers may be seated in the Balcony. Patrons may move to their purchased seats at the first intermission. In other cases, latecomers may be seated at an appropriate break in the performance
